The acoustic parameter determination method uses a resonator device with a resonator chamber (2) containing the liquid (1), which is stimulated for providing a series of resonances in a given frequency range, coupled with characteristic resonances of the wall material of the resonance chamber and/or associated transducers (6) to provide a common oscillation spectrum. The measured resonance frequencies of the liquid in the resonance chamber are evaluated by comparison with ideal resonance frequencies. An Independent claim for a resonator device for determination of an acoustic parameter of a liquid is also included.
