Energy management strategies are very important for plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV). Aiming at the shortcomings of the traditional charge-depletion (CD) and charge-sustaining (CS) strategy can't give full play to the fuel efficiency of the engine, a new energy management strategy based on simulated annealing algorithm is proposed. And then the proposed strategy is validated under EUDC conditions. The simulation results show that the total energy consumption of the new strategy is reduced by 0.9%.
