Validation of Clusters for M-Foot Shape Measurement: Malaysian Women Foot Shape

A novel procedure to validate the existence of clusters of the Malaysian lady foot shape measurement is proposed in this study. The Cophenetic Correlation Coefficient (CPCC) index is used to determine the optimal linkage method and distance measure. Mixture distribution confirmed the number of clusters. Three foot shape features that are Left Foot Length (LFL), Left Foot Breadth (LFB) and Left Ball Girth Circumference (LBGC) from a random sample of 161 Malaysians ladies were studied. The resultant mixture distribution foot shape model indicates two categories of foot shape.
