A decoupling method for a slot antenna array is proposed in this paper. The array-antenna decoupling surface (ADS), which consists of partial reflection metal patches, is designed to reduce the mutual coupling among antenna elements. A prototype of a four elements slot antenna array using ADS is demonstrated. Simulation results show that the proposed antenna array achieves an impedance bandwidth of 2.35-2.545 GHz, low mutual coupling of less than -15 dB.
