摘要

The observation of longitudinal biomedical images of AAAs suggests that surrounding tissues influence the shape of AAA enlargement during the progression and ossifications of the lumbar is one of components possibly important for the interaction between an AAA and the spine. Results of the computational simulation illustrate that the G&R model of an AAA with a geometric constrain captures main geometrical features observed from patient longitudinal images and furthermore suggest that interaction with spine should be taken into account for accurate estimation of wall stress and hence for the better prediction of the rupture risk during the progression of an AAA. More quantitative study with individual patients' longitudinal images and classification of the growth patterns and interaction with the spine between patients are currently in progress. We also expect that computational simulation with different shapes of AAAs will allow us quantitative comparison between patients.
