The use of cold-formed steel is becoming popular in residential and commercial building alternative to traditional materials. Cold-formed steel (CFS) provides high strength to weight ratio, resulting in permitting lighter structure and longer span. If proper consideration is not made, this longer span and lighter structure can results in serviceability issues with respect to vibration acceptance. This paper presents the experimental program conducted in a developed CFS I-shape joists. The objectives of this research are to provide research information of the evaluation of the joist's dynamic characteristics and serviceability criteria of such joists. Correlation between the experimental findings and available code provisions i.e. Canadian Wood Council method; Applied Design Council Design method, ATC; and Eurocode, EC5.
