Upgrading New York City's Traffic Signal Control: 'A Progress Report'

At the current time the agency is continuing to both upgrade our traffic signal hardware and communications systems at an accelerated pace. As the systems are being deployed the agency and the city has already realized many of the projects intended benefits. Our preliminary analysis has proven the effectiveness and reliability of the ASTC controller and the NYCWin communications system and we look forward to completing this important project.
