In Vivo and In Vitro Testing for Cardiotoxicity of Environmental Contaminants

摘要

The use of in vitro methods for examining specific mechanistic and signaling pathways can contribute to our understanding of the complex nature of the biological responses observed when people are exposed to elevated levels of ambient pollution. As such these studies provide understanding that can lead to the development of regulatory processes that better protect human health and can also provide clues for development of treatments to block or reduce potential adverse health effects.
