The trend toward "green" is very prevalent in industry today. Unfortunately green means many things to different groups and no two groups seem to have the same definition. To some green means removing potentially harmful materials like formaldehyde or other regulated materials from the manufacturing process. Others look at green as using products that are obtained from renewable or recycled raw materials. The study performed here looked at one part of the green issue and concentrated on the removal of formaldehyde and formaldehyde generating materials from a conventional binder system.
