Kamaboko Curtain

“Kamaboko Curtain” is located on the new park that is now under construction along the sea in Yawatahama-city Ehime-prefecture, Japan. This Screen is made by about 23,000 pieces of “waste material” used to wood plates for Kamaboko(steamed fish paste). Yawatahama is one of famous places for producing Kamaboko. In the competition, a small arbor as symbol by them was demanded in this new park. Our proposal was “only put 20 meters screen on” by people there. We think this screen makes various places of difference scene: cherry blossom, orange mountain, view and the large field. 12000 ton of wood plates every year from factory and home rubbish. And it will increase like creatures on this park.
