The main point of this article is to analyze the micro-vibration of aerostatic bearing systems caused by surface roughness. Influence of the surface roughness on the frictional resistance coefficient was discussed and the relationship among the frictional resistance coefficient, relative surface roughness and the Reynolds number was obtained. Through simulations of the flow distribution of four typical surface roughness models including the square, the semicircular, the triangular, and the sine by the FLUENT software, velocity and pressure distribution graphs were gained respectively. The results show that the surface roughness would trigger the vortexes inside the flow, and thus cause the micro-vibration of aerostatic bearing systems. This paper is of certain practical significance for the research of the sources of the micro-vibration of aerostatic bearing systems.
