Construction and Stress Analysis of 3D Finite Element Model of Human Lumbar

摘要

Lumbar is a major component of human backbone, with movement, load and protection function, so it has great significance to study lumbar. This paper used the special medical software, Mimics, to read CT images directly, and establish three-dimensional finite element model rapidly by identifying, locating, smoothing and surface meshing. Then it was imported into Ansys to.mesh body, and transferred the body to Mimics to assign material properties according to the CT values. Finally it was added constraint, made finite element analysis (FEA), and simulated the lumbar biomechanics experiments. From the result, it could provide the source and material for further medical surgery and treatment of lumbar.
