摘要

Augmented Reality (AR) is a technology which combines the real-world and the virtual-world. AR enables a virtual object to be registered into the real-world environment, be blended with the real-world environment and then be displayed. It is critical for a AR system to be able to detect a marker that is placed in the real-world environment. In order to be able to identify a marker under a circumstance with complicated light conditions, AR system adopts a marker identification method based on edge detection, which has been proved to be fast and robust in the experiments.
