Foodstuff cold chain logistics in China was first introduced in the 1950s. In 1982, China promulgated the "Food Sanitation Law", thus promoting the development of the foodstuff cold chain logistics. Chinese foodstuff cold chain logistics is still in its initial stage of development, due to various factors and limitations of its own development, so as for the industry as a whole there are still many problems which are likely to endanger food safty. This paper analyzes the development of the foodstuff cold chain logistics in China and, points out the existing problems and proposes related countermeasures to accelerate the development of Chinese foodstuff cold chain logistics.
