Evolution of near field optical microscopy

摘要

In this paper, we briefly describe the principle and evolution of Near Field Optical Microscopy (NSOM). We also discuss the key points that helped make this technique evolve into a powerful technology for chemical and biological applications as well as for materials science. We will also review the impact of optical nanoantennas on NSOM.
