An integrated methodology incorporating both nonlinear dynamic inversion and sliding mode control method is employed to design a robust nonlinear controller for reusable launch vehicle reentry attitude control. Stability proof and robustness analysis were conducted. Specific issues related to the torque allocation part for RLV have been discussed. The current controller architecture addresses those uncertainties and modeling errors which pertain to the fast dynamics and large envelope flight.
