Defensive Steganography: A Novel Way against Steganalysis

A new strategy of secure steganography named defensive steganography is proposed in this article. Aiming at improving communication security with a known adversary, the unnecessity of identical distributions of cover and stego objects is explained. The experimental result shows that KL distance is not necessarily related to stego security, as long as the cover object is from a private source. Based on this finding, inverse additive noise is introduced to invalidate the premises of steganalysis detector and to improve the security of covert communication.
