COMPARATIVE ANALYZE OF BRAKING DISTANCES ON SNOW COVERED ROADS FOR TWO VEHICLES: DACIA LOGAN AND SEAT LEON

摘要

The present work realizes a comparative study of stopping distances for two different passenger cars, Dacia Logan and Seat Leon on snow covered road. There were chosen different vehicles, but close enough as a class level, in order to point out the behavior during braking till stop in different states of a snow covered road driving condition. The tyres have a significant influence upon the vehicle behavior during braking process with ABS and also without it. The ABS has a positive influence upon vehicle's derivability during brake.
