The device has two sets of metallic sliding plates (1) equipped with pressed squares (2) which are coated with large shoes (3) having a snow tire section and fixed on a central blocking and locking case (4). An intermediate wedge (5) is inserted between the metal plates for maintaining spacing of the metallic plates at right angle with a locking device. The case is provided with an adjusting locking screw allowing to position and to fix the spacing of the metallic plates to carry out an adjustment adapted to exterior diameter of a wheel.
