TESTING THE INFLUENCE OF LONGITUDINAL AND TRANSVERSE CRACKS ON LOAD CAPACITY OF TROLINING LINERS - STAGE III

This paper is a continuation of technical papers from No-Dig 2007 in San Diego,a technical paper from No-Dig 2008 in Dallas and a technical paper from No-Dig 2009 in Toronto. We describe here the results of laboratory testing conducted on lining test pieces of Trolining which took place during the first stage in 2008 and the second stage from 2009. The results obtained at the first and second stage of the research will be used in a comparative analysis at the last stage of research,which is being conducted at the moment. We expect to obtain a digital model bearing capacity of approximate parameters than those measured when examining solely preliner samples and pipeline-preliner samples. After obtaining compatible results from analyses and laboratory tests,actions will be taken to improve the calculation model of Trolining liners in order to assess the influence of the kinds of damage to their load capacity,which will constitute the analytical value of the conducted research. The conducted research aims to achieve a precise definition of the bearing capacity of a reconstructed sewer in the second technical condition (see Fig. 1 [4]). Thanks to the obtained results of the examination it will be possible to optimize the computational scheme and afterwards avoid the risk of under-dimensioning or over-dimensioning of the liner construction. This is the final part of a doctoral study being carried out at Wroclaw University of Technology,Poland,by Tomasz Abel at the Institute of Civil Engineering under the guidance of Prof. Cezary Madryas.
