At present, multi-platform, multi-unit and distributed collaborative virtual digital has been the direction of shipbuildingdevelopment. The shipbuilding use the advanced three-dimensional design software and gradually deepen theirapplication,that is the development of the industry trend. Currently, the popular three-dimensional ship design softwarehas two major categories: The general mechanical design software and the dedicated ship design software. But thegeneral mechanical design software had showed it difficult to adapt the work of the ship design ideas and work flow. Somore and more designed units have used a dedicated ship design software. based on realistic project, this paper analysesthe Foran system architecture and the advanced data management from the user's point of view.And that explored thefuture dedicated ship design software of the development trends.
