摘要

The rotation of plasma in the axial magnetic field of MISTRAL is well described by the assumption that electrons, being subject to the Lorentz force, "pull" the plasma while the ions lose momentum by collisions with the neutrals. Electrons and ions rotate together by ambipolarity. The model breaks down in the range of parameters for which the Bohm speed is met and other modes of instabilities appear.
