摘要

Although the method requires further refinement, it offers a promising approach to muscle force estimation accounting for biarticular contributions of the gastrocnemii. Furthermore, the ANKLE model, by using four electrogoniometers (one on each ankle, and one on each knee, which in addition to the twelve EMG channels would need sixteen channels), would not require the use of a motion system; therefore making muscle force estimation from gait trials available to lesser equipped labs and clinics.In this study, we have presented two models that account for the multiple contributions of biarticular muscles in the lower leg that could be feasibly employed in a clinic.
