A construction boom of the pedestrian street has been initiated in China since 1980s, the construction of the commercial Pedestrian streets can Promote the local economy development and the popularity of city in the certain degree. The objective of this paper is to sum up the general experience of the construction of Pedestrian Street, to avoid the problems would produced during future construction, and to guide future development better. In this paper, a quantitative analysis has been implemented on the source of customers, the attractive factors, the accessibility, the behavioral characteristics of tourists and the acceptance of visitors about all aspects of the construction through questionnaire survey. This paper intends to find out the derivation mechanism and problems existing in the development of commercial Pedestrian Street in china. The paper predicts the development trend of the commercial pedestrian street To promote the development of the city commercial pedestrian street, the author proposes suggestions as follows: (1) Highlight the characteristics. (2) Rational distribution. (3) Pay attention to the details of construction and userfriendly building. (4) Strengthen management and adhere to sustainable development.
