ASNT has launched an e-Mentoring pilot program starting the Fall of 2009. The purpose of this program is to encourage and support young people interested in NDT career paths. ASNT members have the opportunity to inspire mentees by sharing their NDT career and industry experience, knowledge and advice.The e-Mentoring Program was created in the Section Operations Council as a means to meet some of ASNT's strategic goals, focusing on the recruitment and retention of a younger workforce in the NDT industry. This goal has been of great import to ASNT and its members for at least the last decade. Through direct one-on-one mentoring, this program addresses the need for encouraging a younger work force.
