Mn-Zn ferrites for power application show a typical core loss characteristic over temperature range by passing through a minimum loss point. Based on the application this minimum loss point of a power ferrite material is designed. Majority of the ferrite materials used in power circuits show minimum loss between 80 and 100°C beyond which the core losses increase steeply with temperature. Depending on the application some ferrites or inductors may experience higher temperature up to 140°C. Study has been conducted to develop power ferrite material that has minimum loss point around 140°C
