Discharge Characteristics of a Macro-cell of Shadow Mask PDP

A macro-cell was designed to study the discharge characteristics of the corresponding shadow mask PDP cell. An exponent waveform in the driving scheme was used to investigate the discharge characteristics of the macro-cell. Some waveform parameters were changed to study their influences on the address discharge. The time interval between the address discharge and the first sustain discharge were adjusted to see the effects of priming particles. The difference of the light emmision distributions of the macro-cell for different address voltage was shown by images captured with ICCD. This can help us to optimize the actual shadow mask PDP with less cost.
