The theoretical studies of dynamical buckling for fixed-fixed and hinged-fixed bars are completed. The dynamical buckling critical loads and the buckling modes of two different boundary conditions are achieved. Further, the bar-bar impact experiments were carried out by means of the SHPB. According to the magnitudes of the axial strain and bifurcate time, the critical buckling load and critical bifurcate time are achieved. The post-buckling behavior of semi-infinite bar is analyzed by the finite difference method.
