LBM is proved as an effective method for simulating incompressible flow, whose momentum equation is known as the N-S equation. The recent LB model for incompressible flow in porous media at the REV scale takes the same form of standard LB model for fluid flow, which is attributed by the similarity of momentum equation of fluids in porous media and the N-S equation. In mis paper, we discuss the momentum equation of fluids in porous media, and find that the cited momentum equation of fluids in porous media is not acceptable and believable. In fact, the momentum equation for porous flow is not N-S equation, but the known Darcy law or modified ones. Therefore, the applicability of standard LBM to simulate porous flow needs further studies.
