集中豪雨の予測を目指す超小型衛星の開発鹿児島人工衛星開発部会の挑戦

摘要

A very small satellite for atmospheric water vapor observations is under development by the KagoshimaSatellite Development Group. This report describes the present status of the research and development ofthe satellite. The observation system is composed of the satellite and a radio interferometer on the ground.The satellite is in a shape of a 10 cm cube with a boom of 20 cm long, and functions as Ku–band radiowave radiator. The data observed with the system is expected to be used for the prediction of localizedheavy downpours and thunderstorms.
