Evolution! From Paper to Screen——How Does Graphic Design Handle the Changes in Both Practice and Teaching?

With the evolution of science and technology, and the popularity of computer and internet, people's lifestyle and even their reading style have been changed a lot.Screen reading has become a part of people's daily life and a challenge to paper reading which has been got used to by human for thousands of years. Based on the change of reading style, the characteristics of paper reading and screen reading (TV reading, On-line reading,Mobile-phone reading...), and the patterns of graphic design under different reading styles are studied and analyzed in this paper. The problem what the change of reading style has brought to us is studied; the measurement principles are probed and the relevant strategies which should be applied to deal with the change in carrying out the practice and teaching of plane design are approached. The aim of the paper is to seek the new thought of plane design under the new reading style and to give out a definite direction for the future plane design.
