Summary form only given, as follows. We report on the results ofexperiments to study the dynamics of an electron beam that passestransversely through the focus of a pulsed laser beam in vacuum. Theelectron beam energy can be varied from 1 to 50 keV with current of afew milliamps maximum. Two lasers, YAG and CO2, areconsidered. This interaction can be the source of radiation emissionthat is shifted from the laser frequency. Spectrometers, Faraday cupsand interferometric techniques are used to diagnose the electron beamand laser. Computer simulation results will be included
