Research on Outdoor Climate and Thermal Comfort in Subtropical Climate Urban Areas: A study in Guangzhou, China, as an Example

摘要

Due to a dynamic climate in outdoor environment, physical factors influence people’s thermal comfort a lot, such as MRT and wind velocity. Various kinds of human built elements are included in real cities, for instance, square, piloti and building blocks, which are expected to create different outdoor thermal environment in urban areas, and the influence of these elements on outdoor thermal environment and thermal comfort should be clearly understood by researchers and designers.
