ＥＨＤ現象を用いたアクチュエータの開発― ＥＨＤポンプ型アクチュエータの提案 ―

The drive system which it is small, is lightweight and has compliance is anxious for being applied in manyfields, such as medical use field and welfare apparatus etc. This study aims at development of an actuator with small andcompliance, and we developed new EHD pump type actuator which generates power of the perpendicular direction byapplying the between electrode in insulated fluid that a fluid flow is generated when a high voltage is applied which calledEHD (Electro Hydro Dynamics) phenomenon. The characteristic of EHD pump type actuator can perform control of anoutput by changing voltage, and since it is using fluid, it has compliance. Consequently, EHD actuator is expected to becomeapplicable to the robot which uses it in a place familiar to person.
