Adaptive model tracking of a finite-dimensional model by aninfinite-dimensional, linear, discrete-time system is shown to bepossible here. Relationships between the Kalman-Yacubovic equations fordiscrete-time and strictly positive real transfer functions are provedand a Lyapunov stability analysis is carried out to show that convergentoutput tracking occurs
