摘要

FPGA design and implementation of an order statistic filter is presented using a high level programming language which is based on conventional C language. Among other benefits, using a high level language for FPGA design and implementation significantly simplifies the design process compared with methods using traditional hardware description languages. The order statistic filter architecture is based on an efficient approach for implementing such a filter in binary domain. The order statistic filter is configurable so that different order statistic filtering functions can be realized using the same structure.
