This short paper is a report on efforts at the University of South Carolina to encourage and train foreign language faculty to be literate and enthusiastic in the area of instructional technology. The creation of a new position for the Academic Director of the Foreign Language Learning Center illustrates the school's belief in the importance of instructional technology and its dedication to ensuring that faculty in all of its departments be given the opportunity to incorporate it into their curricula.
