Synthetic Audio Tools in MPEG-4 Standard

摘要

This article presents an overview of the synthetic audio tools inMPEG-4 which is a standard for interactive multimedia applications.These tools include specifications for sound coding based onstructured, parametric descriptions of algorithmic synthesis methodsand wavetable synthesis, as well as generation of syntheticspeech from textual data, and the tools for composition, postprocessingand 3-D spatialization of various audio streams at theMPEG-4 terminal.
