Abstract: Chalcogenide glasses possess comparatively large sensitivity on outer influence (light, heat) that determine their application in optical sensing devices and optical information processing systems based on light absorption or refraction. For this reason theoretical background of optical parameters prediction was considered and certain Ge-Sb-Se-type glass compositions were developed and investigated for fiber optic, sensing elements. !6
