摘要

Creativity is a much sought after quality, particularly in education, but it is very often misunderstood and ungraspable. This paper is a new attempt at unraveling the mystery, clarifying the ambiguous, and focusing in on the higher truths that seem to evade a common sense understanding of creativity. Creativity will be seen as a process as well as a quality so that it is possible to follow the progression of events as they happen in the cognitive sphere. The author discusses what creativity may represent to engineering practitioners.
