lnterprocessor Communication on a Multiple-bus Multiprocessor System

摘要

This paper describes an undertaking multiple-shared-bus multiprocessor system. Its overall architecture is introduced and its message passing mechanism is focused in the article. A new handling mechanism-"message passing lock" is presented. In a multiple-bus environment, it is complex to deal with message passing operations. The message passing Locks make the control easier and more flexible. In this paper, we describe the message passing lock scheme used in our systm. Deadlock avoidance of this message passing mechanism is also analysed.
