The influence of random noise on the number of errors in cable and Internet television systems is investigated. An alternative approach to the principle of data transfer based on existing equipment is formulated. The requirements for the simulator for modeling the process of data transfer are formulated. Models of coding and decoding blocks are proposed. The possibility of modeling the effect of interference in the Matlab system at a logical level is investigated. The content of an alternative approach to data transmission consists in replacing an information bit with a logical vector. The logical convolution of the direct and mirror logical vector is carried out on the receiving side. The convolution operation is performed by software without the use of analog-to-digital conversion of the received signal. The advantage of the proposed principle of redundancy of information is that the implementation is feasible for both cable and Internet television. In the latter case, a positive effect is achieved when there is free traffic. The application of this approach for cable television is justified in the presence of free carriers (subcarriers). This proposal is also of interest for technical television systems operating in the conditions of interference, for which the reliability of data transmission takes precedence over other parameters.
