Television is the greatest entertainer that is used in one family. Winning the TV market is an interesting move for any telecommunication provider. Choosing a platform that will use the operator represents a key element for delivering television service to the end customer. To deliver the most used entertainment service to the end user, to have increased the customer QoE and to follow the development that is happening in this area is a challenge for every operator.udThe purpose of this paper is to consider platforms that are used by operators, and to compare the advantages and disadvantages on most popular platforms (DVB-C ws IPTV). This paper represented and directions for further developments on specific platforms.
