Achievement management is of great importance for public physical education in normal college, in this paper, we proposed a cluster technique based method to mine student scores in public physical courses. The proposed data mining system for achievement mining of public physical education is made up of five modules: Data source, 2) Data warehouse, 3) Multidimensional dataset, 4) OLAP module, and 5) Data results visualization. The main innovation of this paper is to introduce cluster technique to mine useful knowledge in achievement management. Cluster technique aims to group similar elements in a same cluster, and let elements belonged to various cluster be dissimilar. Finally, Weka platform is used to test the performance of the proposed algorithm. Experimental results show that the proposed method can effectively discover some laws which are hidden in student scores.
