The need for electricity for remote areas, especially the foremost island in Indonesia, is important. The availability of electricity in the foremost islands of Indonesia is generally still supplied from the Diesel Power Plant (PLTD). The HSD (High Speed Diesel) price for PLTD Connection-line Pemping is assumed to be $ 0.87,- / liter with an electricity production cost of $ 0.34,-/ kWh. The intensity of solar radiation on Pemping Island is quite high, with an average of 4.875 kWh/m2/day. The simulation with HOMER (Hybrid Optimization of Multiple Energy Resources) shows the Hybrid Power Plant project can reduce the average electricity production cost to .22,-/kWh or equal to 31.52% of the current electricity production costs.
