In the park-level integrated energy system planning, the planning interval determines the energy supply reliability of the entire system and the amount of investment funds. In view of the shortage of energy supply and advanced equipment configuration caused by inflexible planning intervals, a multi-scale configuration strategy is proposed in which the equipment configuration index determines the planning interval. By analyzing the operating characteristics of the equipment in the integrated energy system, it is described mathematically; the equipment configuration index of the integrated energy system is constructed based on the supply and demand of electricity and gas and the life of the equipment, and corresponding strategies are given for the different development stages of the park. Example verification equipment configuration index to determine the multi-scale interval planning method, improve the park’s wind power consumption rate, and reduce investment, operation and maintenance costs.
