An In Vitro Disease Model for Aggressive Hodgkin's Lymphoma

A hydrogel system has been created which mimics the elastic modulus of bovine lymph nodes. The incorporation of biochemical cues revealed the importance of collagen I and gelatin on immune cell adhesion and cell spreading. Future work will focus on the effects of hydrogel composition on immune cell recruitment; it is predicted that hydrogels that mimic the native HL microenvironment will promote immune cell migration. These studies will help elicit the effects of the HL niche on immune cell behaviour and disease progression.
