As for the requirement of a medium speed transportation system, for example 200km/h top speed, this paper introduces a novel structure of the propulsion system of the maglev system, which eliminate the configuration of the cable lines and the stator switches, and therefore degrade the capacity requirement of the motor, and put more general industrial converters into consideration. The simulation results reveals that although the structure is more fixed and thus maybe need more invest at the beginning of an engineering project, it can doubtlessly meet the speed requirement of the medium speed system with considerable acceleration ability, and thus provide an alternative solution for some engineers or city planners.
