The ratio between Zn and Sb has been studied and optimized in this thermoelectricity study. The ratio was changed from 4:3 to 3.9:3 based on the different melting points of Zn (419.5°C) and Sb (630.8°C). Thermoelectric properties including Seebeck value(s), conductivity(s) and power factor have been investigated by a different hot pressing temperature and time. When Zn_(3.9),Sb_3 alloy increased melting temperature and time will increase density and conductivity from power metallurgy. In this investigation, the difference of the melting temperature between Zn and Sb, causing a different volatilizing speed, and improving thermoelectric effect by Zn_(3.9)Sb_3 structure is discussed.
