摘要

An important means of reducing vehicle exhaust noise is to install a muffler. The design research of muffler has become more and more important. In order to improve design efficiency, for complex mufflers, simulation calculation methods are often used. Based on the research at home and abroad, this paper establishes a complex muffler air model, uses the fluid simulation software FLUENT to simulate the flow field, analyzes the velocity field, pressure field and turbulent kinetic energy field, and obtains the influence trend of flow field change on the muffler. The causes of pressure loss and turbulent flow energy are studied, which has guiding significance for the design optimization of complex muffler.
